Terms and Conditions for Pet League UK Pet Contest

These Terms and Conditions govern your use of the Website and the pet contest it hosts. By accessing or using the Website, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you disagree with any part of these Terms, you may not access or use the Website.
1. Contest Eligibility
The Contest is open to legal residents of the United Kingdom who are at least 18 years old with a UK bank account. Minors (under 18) may participate with the consent of their parent or guardian.
2. User Accounts
You must create an account to participate in the Contest. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your username and password. You are also responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
3. Contest Participation

Content Monitoring and Removal:
We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor User Content and remove any content that we, in our sole discretion, deem to be inappropriate, offensive, or in violation of these Terms and Conditions.
Reporting Inappropriate Content:
If you see any User Content that you believe violates these Terms and Conditions, please report it to us immediately at contact@petleague.co.uk. We will investigate the reported content and take appropriate action, which may include removing the content and/or taking disciplinary action against the user who submitted it.
Additional Information:
Technical Issues: While Pet League Limited strives to provide a seamless experience, they are not responsible for technical malfunctions or interruptions. Participants are advised to ensure a stable internet connection during the submission process. Modification or Cancellation: Pet League Limited reserves the right to modify, suspend, or remove participants for violating the rules. No compensation will be provided to participants in such cases.

Governing Law: These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom.
8. User Responsibility:
You are solely responsible for all content you submit to the Website and Contest, including photos, videos, descriptions, comments, and any other information (collectively, "User Content"). This includes ensuring you have the necessary rights to submit such content.
Content Restrictions:
You agree not to submit any User Content that is:
Obscene, defamatory, threatening, harassing, abusive, hateful, discriminatory, or otherwise violates any applicable laws. Sexually suggestive or exploits, abuses, or endangers children. Infringes on any intellectual property rights of others. Contains viruses, malware, or other harmful code. False, misleading, or deceptive. Violates these Terms and Conditions.

7. Additional Considerations
Website Usage:
Each user has a daily limit of 50 votes per pet to prevent unfair advantages through excessive voting. Users must use their own pets in the contest or have permission from the pet owner.
Delivery Method:
Certificates will be automatically sent to the winners dashboard for download. Cash prize winners will be notified by email and must respond with a confirmation email providing their bank details to receive the prize money.
5. Prizes
Top 3 UK Winners: Cash prizes and downloadable certificates. Top 3 Regional Winners: Downloadable certificates.
4. Selection of Winners
Selection Method: Winners will be chosen by public voting.
Voting: Users can purchase vote bundles to vote for pets in the contest. Each vote is valued at 10 pence and contributes to the participants chosen charity's fundraising pot. 100% of the vote fees go to the charities after any transaction fees incurred through payment methods (e.g., PayPal). The small transaction fee will be added on to vote bundle prices to ensure charities get the full amount at 10 pence per vote.
Number of Winners:
The top 3 entries in the UK will win cash prizes and downloadable certificates. The top 3 entries in each region will win downloadable certificates.
Entry Deadline: Participants have one month to submit their pets for the next month's contest during the current month's contest.
Disqualification Criteria:
Entries containing AI-generated images or images without your pet will be disqualified. Entries containing irrelevant or distasteful images or text will be disqualified.
Entry Fee: There is a £12 entry fee. The entry fee covers operational costs including (website maintenance and development, data security, wages, advertising, monetary rewards, accounting, utilities or any other logistical arrangements). The entry fee is non-refundable.
Charity: Pet League partners with charities. When entering a pet, you choose which charity you wish to sponsor. Votes for your pet contribute to your chosen charity's fundraising pot. Pet League will transfer these funds to the charities within 5 working days of the contest's end.
